so.. more computer woes in the land of insaner.. now my new case apparently burn out my cdrw, heh, yeah.. so, cant install my brand newly downloaded copy of redhat linux 9, which btw, i had to dl twice because the last 2 cds were corrupt (yeah, a whole gig of downloading.. down the drain!) and apparently, they were still corrupt.. so, what do i do? who knows.. but, it doesnt matter, since the cds are STILL corrupt!!!! argh! lets see how this pans out.. but for now, i must go tomorrow to the place i got my stupid case, and see if they are going to replace my cdrw, or what..

so i was just watching the news here and i came across something that you might find interesting.. or intriguing.. or something. apparently they are becoming a lot more strict here in ontario about people who drink and drive. if you are caught drinking and driving once you have to have a breath-a-lizer installed in your car for a year that requires you to blow 0% blood alcohol just to start your car. and they are trying to pass a bill that if you are caught twice that you will lose your licence for the rest of your life and your car will be impounded. not too shabby, eh? too bad more places wouldn't do stuff like that so that people wouldn't end up dying like, didn't one of your friends end up in the hospital or something?

hey kids!!!! howsit? good good.. me? oh im ok.. im still working on this programming thing. its looking quite good, and im finally starting to get motivated about it.. but tomorrow i find out if my work will be paid or not (did i already mention the pertaining story?) well, yeah, so, tomorrow i find out. also, im building my computer tomorrow! yeah! ive already mentioned the specs, but, hey, why not mention them again! i mean, its such a booty-licious (has that one been deemed a stupid thing to say yet?) system, that i feel obliged to restate:

processor: amd athlon XP 2500+ with barton core (thats 333mhz fsb kiddies!)
memory: 512mb of pc3200 cas 2.5 goodness (ocz)
mobo: abit nf7 (yep, you heard it, nforce2 chipset on mcp2 and spp... 400mhz, heeeere we gooo!)
hdd: 160, yes one HANRET and SIXTIE gigglebites of storage, did i mention its ATA/133, and has an 8mb buffer?! well, it DOES!!

those are the new pieces, add to that my old pieces (46 more gigs of storage on 2 hdds not included):
video card: my beloved 16mb matrox marvel g400tv! yeah, tv!
cdrw drive 2/2/24: *cough*
floppy?: ls120 all the way! thass right, 80times more storage, same compatibility, and reads old 2mb floppies 10 times faster! (ohh, and the fact that i think these have been discontinued.. heh *sigh*)

and when you are standing there at the pearly gates, and God asks you "and tell me, why should i let you into my heaven?" what will YOU answer? i think thats what we should be worrying about. if i die tomorrow, i want to know that everyone reading this had the same chance i did. so:

heaven, my friends, is a gift. God through Christ, offers us eternal life. but, as with any gift, we can turn it down. so, its up to YOU to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and only Savior. We as humans cant do jack squat towards our own salvation, no matter how much money you gave to charity or how many poor people you fed, or african kids you sponsored. we do NOT deserve Heaven. we DONT. and guess what, it is offered as a GIFT to us!!!!!! if you put your entire faith in Him, thats it. we all know we are born sinners, we sin constantly, and God cant be where there is sin, which is why He cant help us with stuff, because we have pushed Him away. we dont want Him in our lives, and He doesnt force Himself into them. BUT, as we all know very well, Jesus paid for our sins, for ALL OUR SINS (and let me tell you, the other day i heard EXACTLY what it was he went through, from a doctor who explained it to us medically, and let me tell you, it hurt just to hear what was done.. ) He never sinned in His entire existence, and yet He gave His life for OUR sins.. He suffered for US.. all so we can have that all-access pass to Heaven.. not bad, eh? all i have to do is accept Him as my savior, repent for all the crap ive done, and thats IT!!! at that point you are FREE OF SIN, and if you are hit by a car and killed the next second.. guess where YOU are going.. thats RIGHT! HEAVEN!! now, we can always throw the gift away by sinning, not accept it by denying Him.. but, the option is yours. and best of all ITS FREE!! hey, listen, you can call me a fanatic or whatever, but, look at it this way, it can be true and look at what you gain by believing (or lose by NOT believing) and (to play your game) if its not true, and you DO believe.. what do you lose? NOTHING. let me tell you, the Bible is a powerful book, (God says "I am my word") and it has changed so many lives around for the better. i cant even tell you. If you have already accepted Him, you know what im talking about, if you havent, heres your chance!

trust me, there isnt a question (relative to life or God or whatever) that i have asked myself, asked God to reveal to me, that i have NOT found (the answer to) in the Bible.

if you dont take your life seriously, and you dont respect your body, you will end up hurting many. and before you all flame me for this post, i want to tell you what happened to my brothers exgirlfriend just months ago.. in december.

she was just walking along, minding her own business with her boyfriend and his parents, when a drunk driver topping 90 (150km/h) hit all four of them. she was flung, i dont know, i think it was 40 feet, and straight into a coma, where she remained for a month or so. she was on the verge of death. ok, sure, you dont care because you didnt know her. and ok, you dont get drunk. and ok, sure, you dont drive, or whatever other slew of excuses you can cough up to not listen to me when i say DONT DRINK. but i dont think that man woke up that day saying "today, im going to get drunk and possibly kill a young girl and seriously injure 3 others.." just like you dont wake up and say "today im going to get so drunk im going to die of intoxication, or at least be so drunk my senses will be impaired to such a point that i will endanger my life (or someone elses) by doing something stupid" no, of COURSE not. but once you start drinking, WHO will stop you? if even you only drink once a week, you are still putting yourself, and others in danger.

i hope you will understand what im saying with this post, and not start flaming me and picking on me and ignoring my posts and whatever it is people do. i hope you truly understand, that drinking is destructive, no matter how little of it you do. last example im going to use is that kid who never drank because he wasnt "of age" and on his birthday he finally had his first drinks, and that night died intoxicated. and no, im not exaggerating, or making a big deal of it. cut off completely from drinking, now, now that you still have a chance. dont wait to be a drunkard whos discarded everything in life, as i have seen so many of.

you guys are still young, and from what ive read, you are all incredible people, smart people, and i know you dont want to end up doing, or being a victim of, something horrible, JUST because you think "drinking is fun". trust me, i have sooo much fun, CONSTANTLY, and i am not dependent on any drug, be it alcohol or pot or anything else. dont fall into that deception at such a young age. you guys are the best, and i care for all of you this much, and thats why i tell you this now. before its too late.

ok, i had a great post.. well, at least i thought.. but, after 1+ hours of me trying to get some dumb regexp to fix up the post for me, yielding no result, i have grown tired (of it) and have decided to leave it for 'marrah.. so, news.. um, i almost threw up this weekend.. lack of sleep (3 hours) plus three slices cold greasy pizza before going to be bed and thats what you get.. a nice stomach disturbance your whole family can enjoy! err.. yeah, you know what i mean.. but, basically, i didnt upchuck (mmmmmm.. new word) so, alls well.. hey, last time i threw up? pizza incident ass well.. hahah... (remember bob?? hahah..) yeah, sucked.. and before that? double expressway. 'nuff said.. not something i want to be repeating any time soon.. so, in about 7 years, i have only tossed my cookies (i already knew that one) twice. not bad, eh?

man, stupid poc bank!! seriously! they, out of the blue, started charging me a "service charge" that equals something like $6 or so.. a month!!!! i didnt realize this, (that they began doing that) and just found it odd that they were charging me that.. but, a few months have gone by, and i now know that, well, im getting charged about $6 every frikkin month, for nothing. its like i am paying the bank to hold my money there.. can you believe that crap??? and since there are no branches on this side of the world, im very much screwed, and i think im just going to have to close that account, which by the way, now contains less money than when i last put money in!!!! can you believe those fools?? i put my money there to make an interest off it! not to lose money!!!!! this is simply outrageous!!!!!

ohh dear, im in so much trouble.. well, not trouble but.. you know.. i have yet to finish that programming thing (yeah yeah, shut up, i have had sooo much to do, i cant even tell you) so today, one of the parties involved (ie, not any of the ones i've had communications with) was apparently "not too happy" with the situation at hand.. whereas i thought everything was ok.. well, i was wrong. the guy who had approached me and with whom i had done all the talking, happened to omit mentioning any displeasure with how things were running (which i guess is how he feels about it) and now his.. umm.. partner(?) (in business) has shown he was quite quite not pleased with the fact that i have still not finished the job.. great. now i have to work my @$$ (it just looks funnier like that) off and see if i can actually even finish that crap this week.. or by the next.. not good. not good. at least now i have time.. but still i dont like being the irresponsible one..

ok, i think i just saw what tops my idolatry's top ten list.. a nun (catholic, needless to say) singing (accompanied by her guitar) singing to, wait for it.. a piece of bread!!! yes, i know!! at first i was like, aw, how nice, she's singing something about GOD.. somthing about not loving anyone but "him" (she didnt actually say "God" at any moment, that i heard anyways..) so i didnt flip away immediately, and then, as they showed what was going on from another angle, there was the nun, sitting looking up at a host (was that what it was called? i converted so long ago i forget.. ) framed up on a golden something or other of a stand, with some form of "rays" of gold coming out from the center.. (i think you know what i mean).. i couldnt believe it! she was singing to a piece of bread on a pedestal at a height above her! im sorry, but, as a christian, as a person who knows what GOD thinks of this kind of action, i was simply shocked, appalled and then some.. how can people be soo mocking of GOD?? so impervious to HIM and just so flat out ridicule HIM this way?? seriously.. people have to start being more responsible with their thoughts and actions.. dont think this one isnt also directed at you. think about it, how have you been a hypocrite? just today, how many times were you a hypocrite? dont just recognize it (if you happen to be honest with yourself and dont deny it, that is...), but change! do something about it.. dont just resign yourself to that stupid "its the way i am, let me be" crap of an excuse.. otherwise, you should also have to apply that to others just the same, to that guy who raped your sister, to the person who murdered your father, to.. terrorists.
prisoners would have to be let loose.. cuz, hey, let them be, its just the way they are! they cant help it.. so, stop being a hypocrite, and start changing your ways, lest we have to start emptying the world's jails.
