just added 3 more videos to the spanish sermons section of my site.. they were long overdue, and will for sure be the last i will be adding for a while.. i think we all know why
my goodness i almost put all available tags on this one.. haha.. MAN OVERBOARD!
this movie blows your mind right out of your MIND! take the matrix, terminator, lemmings and make it in india with 3x the budget (adjusted for exchange rates) and you get THIS awesomeness!
the most amazing 7minutes of driving intensity you will watch all week (cuz i didnt want to exaggerate with how long it might take you to randomly stumble upon a more awesome driving video):
Ken Block's Gymkhana THREE, Part 2; Ultimate Playground; l'Autodrome, France
Shot just south of Paris, France in Linas at l'Autodrome de Linas --Montlhéry, this 1.58 mile oval track, built in 1924, features banks as steep as 51 degrees, which is more than double the standard incline of most NASCAR ovals. Chosen by Ken for this specific reason, the ramp-like banking proved to be a unique and exciting challenge. The driving physics for the stunts performed were totally unknown until Ken attempted the maneuvers during filming.
and i saved the best for last:
oh my goodness, i couldnt stop laughing at this.. its amazing:
Yosemitebear Mountain Giant Double Rainbow 1-8-10
It was rainbowing for at least an hour on January 8th 2010. It was incredible. The camera could not capture the vivid intensity and brightness. Look into the mirror, look into your soul!
(Paul Vasquez’s emotional response to a rainbow in Yosemite National Park)
my thought the whole time was "wow, this is a man honestly being blown away by the Glory of God.. in such a simple manifestation like a double rainbow.. imagine when we are in his presence?? imagine how we will be blown away then??
my goodness, another awesome message by steve lawson:
The Use of Your Time (Jonathan Edwards) - Steve Lawson
Steve Lawson goes over some of the Resolutions of Jonathan Edwards, that were written when Edwards was 19 years old. How do you use your time? are you living for the eternal? Are you living with eternity stamped on your eyeballs? or self?
just how much does this apply to all of us? notice too how relevant some parts of his personal testimony resonate with what ive been going through too..
in any case, this message is so relevant, and soo awesome. especially in how our priorities are so messed up. how we waste time doing things that do not glorify God.. obviously, as he says, there is a time for everything, and a place for recreation and relaxation (or as we like to call it, "r&r") but it certainly puts it in perspective, we, like edwards, need to be aiming to be the best christian alive.. aiming any less, and we must ask ourselves, "why am i aiming so low?" in any case, this is just awesome. ill be watching this one again.. probably as often as i need to be reminded of it
like i often say, i mightve posted this before, but its worth the double post if its the case:
How To Not Marry a Coward
This question was answered by Pastor Mark Driscoll and his wife Grace during the sermon Marriage and Women from the Trial series at Mars Hill Church.
this one is for us to take notes on.. really cool, what each book of the bible shows as a main attribute of Christ! (as presented by an 11 year old kid!)

Contestant Paris Tassin sang Temporary Home, a Carrie Underwood song. Paris has a little daughter with special needs. No copyright infringement is intended. All rights reserved by Fox. I searched what hydrocephalus is:
Hydrocephalus is a brain condition that gets its name from the Greek word for water (meaning "hydro") and head (meaning "cephalus"). It occurs when cerebral spinal fluid (CSF) — the clear, water-like fluid that surrounds and cushions the brain and spinal cord — is unable to drain from the brain. It then pools, causing a backup of fluid in the skull.
Sometimes referred to as "water on the brain," hydrocephalus can cause babies' and young children's heads to swell to accommodate the excess fluid. Older kids, whose skull bones have matured and fused together, experience painful headaches due to increased pressure in the head.
for your information.. some interesting stuff on generals in the US (from wikipedia):
In the United States Army, United States Air Force, and United States Marine Corps, general is a four-star general officer rank, with the pay grade of O-10. General ranks above lieutenant general and below General of the Army or General of the Air Force; the Marine Corps does not have an established grade above general. General is equivalent to the rank of admiral in the other uniformed services. Since the grades of General of the Army and General of the Air Force are reserved for war-time use only, and since the Marine Corps has no five-star equivalent, the grade of general is currently considered to be the highest appointment an officer can achieve in these three services.
[...]
U.S. Code of law explicitly limits the total number of four-star officers that may be on active duty at any given time. The total number of active duty general officers is capped at 230 for the Army, 208 for the Air Force, 60 for the Marine Corps.[1] For the Army, Navy, and Air Force, no more than about 25% of the service's active duty general or flag officers may have more than two stars,[2] and statute sets the total number of four-star generals allowed in each service.[2] This is set at 7 four-star Army generals,[2] 9 four-star Air Force generals[2] and 3 four-star Marine generals.[2]
[...]
Four-star grades go hand-in-hand with the positions of office to which they are linked, so these ranks are temporary. Officers may only achieve four-star grade if they are appointed to positions of office that require the officer to hold such a rank.[7] Their rank expires with the expiration of their term of office, which is usually set by statute.[7] Generals are nominated for appointment by the President from any eligible officers holding the rank of brigadier general or above, who also meet the requirements for the position, under the advice and/or suggestion of their respective department secretary, service secretary, and if applicable the Joint Chiefs of Staff.[7] For some specific positions, statute allows the President to waive those requirements for a nominee who he deems would serve national interests.[8] The nominee must be confirmed via majority vote by the Senate before the appointee can take office and thus assume the rank.[7] The standard tour length for most four-star positions is three years, bundled as a two-year term plus a one-year extension
[...]
Other than voluntary retirement, statute sets a number of mandates for retirement. A four-star general must retire after 40 years of service unless he or she is reappointed to serve longer.[9] Otherwise all general officers must retire the month after their 64th birthday.[10] However, the Secretary of Defense can defer a four-star officer's retirement until the officer's 66th birthday[10] and the President can defer it until the officer's 68th birthday.[10]
anyone else find this really interesting??
ps, i tagged it "violence" because i didnt really want to create a whole new tag for "army"
i was thinking about marriage as i was watching one of ray comforts evangelism videos. he said "our most precious gift is our life!" not true. for men, it is our wife that is the most precious gift we have, as God demands that we give our life for her.
just as God gave us to His Son as a bride, and so setting the example for us to follow in marriage, men should know that God demands of us what His Son already did.
men, no faltering allowed. love that woman with everything you have. no trade-ins allowed, or do you think God will be trading YOU in for another? and dont expect her to be perfect, or are you a perfect bride to His Son?
i just wanted to quickly post that yesterday i finally had what can honestly be described as a good day. first one in months, and easily one of the best days in the last few years.. and i wanted to give thanks to my Lord for giving it to me, and that His name be glorified for it!
i was able to spend a great day with my lovely wife, and just do a bunch of stuff together all day long, only enjoying each other's company without much stress or fighting (except against digital monsters.. oh yes, fun times..) so i just wanted to publicly thank my wife too, for yesterday (even though she doesnt read my blog.. :/ ) i love you cachetoncita!
ughh.. not sure how to react, but ive been writing a screenplay for a while now (yeah, in the years) and i just saw a trailer for a movie that had some 4 out of the 5 most important elements already written of my story -- in just the trailer!! gah! jason statham as a hitman, one of the scenes i had written and even two of the lines!! how can 30 seconds ruin all these years of sitting on an awesome idea??? i bet the premise is way different of course, but holey.. i have 13 pages written (with another set of notes that have to be translated into the script format) but my goodness, this is incredible. ugh. now what?
ENFJs are the benevolent 'pedagogues' of humanity. They have tremendous charisma by which many are drawn into their nurturant tutelage and/or grand schemes. Many ENFJs have tremendous power to manipulate others with their phenomenal interpersonal skills and unique salesmanship. But it's usually not meant as manipulation -- ENFJs generally believe in their dreams, and see themselves as helpers and enablers, which they usually are.
ENFJs are global learners. They see the big picture. The ENFJs focus is expansive. Some can juggle an amazing number of responsibilities or projects simultaneously. Many ENFJs have tremendous entrepreneurial ability.
ENFJs are, by definition, Js, with whom we associate organization and decisiveness. But they don't resemble the SJs or even the NTJs in organization of the environment nor occasional recalcitrance. ENFJs are organized in the arena of interpersonal affairs. Their offices may or may not be cluttered, but their conclusions (reached through feelings) about people and motives are drawn much more quickly and are more resilient than those of their NFP counterparts.
ENFJs know and appreciate people. Like most NFs, (and Feelers in general), they are apt to neglect themselves and their own needs for the needs of others. They have thinner psychological boundaries than most, and are at risk for being hurt or even abused by less sensitive people. ENFJs often take on more of the burdens of others than they can bear.
wow, nailed it, eh?
this other site however, was a little too dramatic in its presentation, so they kind of.. well, read for yourself:
Idealist: portrait of a teacher (ENFJ)
Even more than the other Idealists,Teachers have a natural talent for leading students or trainees toward learning, or as Idealists like to think of it, they are capable of calling forth each learner's potentials. Teachers (around two percent of the population) are able - effortlessly, it seems, and almost endlessly-to dream up fascinating learning activities for their students to engage in. In some Teachers, this ability to fire the imagination can amount to a kind of genius which other types find hard to emulate. But perhaps their greatest strength lies in their belief in their students. Teachers look for the best in their students, and communicate clearly that each one has untold potential, and this confidence can inspire their students to grow and develop more than they ever thought possible.
In whatever field they choose, Teachers consider people their highest priority, and they instinctively communicate personal concern and a willingness to become involved. Warmly outgoing, and perhaps the most expressive of all the types, Teachers are remarkably good with language, especially when communicating in speech, face to face. And they do not hesitate to speak out and let their feelings be known. Bubbling with enthusiasm, Teachers will voice their passions with dramatic flourish, and can, with practice, become charismatic public speakers. This verbal ability gives Teachers a good deal of influence in groups, and they are often asked to take a leadership role.
Teachers like things settled and organized, and will schedule their work hours and social engagements well ahead of time -- and they are absolutely trustworthy in honoring these commitments. Valuing as they do interpersonal cooperation and harmonious relations, Teachers are extraordinarily tolerant of others, are easy to get along with, and are usually popular wherever they are.
Teachers are highly sensitive to others, which is to say their intuition tends to be well developed. Certainly their insight into themselves and others is unparalleled. Without a doubt, they know what is going on inside themselves, and they can read other people with uncanny accuracy. Teachers also identify with others quite easily, and will actually find themselves picking up the characteristics, emotions, and beliefs of those around them. Because they slip almost unconsciously into other people's skin in this way, Teachers feel closely connected with those around them, and thus show a sincere interest in the joys and problems of their employees, colleagues, students, clients, and loved ones.
easy to get along with?? this heretic??
and the jobs this other website said i would be good at:
oh my goodness, praise God!!! i almost started crying while watching this. as some of you might know, as a pastor i started touching this subject a couple months ago, because i ran into this in 1 john (4 times he says it!) and the senior pastor began a movement against me to get me expelled (where no adulterer in the worship group ever was). the movement failed, but the damage was done, and we left the church. so this message is vindication from the Lord. we CAN do it! make war with your sin!! for the Glory of God! if i wasnt an alligator skin, i wouldve cried through this whole video.
notice how tim tackles the issue perfectly, agh, what i soo arduously tried to defend for hours and months the guy can just expose in 36 minutes. if he had been my age, and at the church we were going to, he wouldve been expelled as a heretic for sure.. or is this situation exclusive to me?
in any case, just amazing, and he honors wesley as well, which i really liked. in the sense that he presents what wesley taught as wesley taught it. agh, all of it so great. this is perhaps the most important post in a very veeery long time.
two days ago i shed my first grey.. *sigh* not only do i have greys now, but.. im shedding them too.. that means, its like they are saying to me "you are soo old, guy.. grey is now your color" this year has been tough..
in other news, that 4 day or so streak of insatiable hunger that i was going through, ended on monday (i think it was monday) for some reason i couldnt stop eating, and even when full i would just get hungry again.. not sure why this was, but this only happens when i have fasted for several days, and i havent fasted in months.. so i have no idea.. but maybe its due to the fact that the large portion of my troubles have been shed.. this is just conjecture of course, but there it is..
and a comment i posted as followup to another guys comment on this video on my social networking page:
sidenote, did you know that the charge leveled against christians during the roman persecutions was that of atheism? this is because they refused to call ceasar "lord". the punishment? among others was to be used as living candles to light ...up nero's garden parties, etc.. today, the north koreans just use bulldozers in public displays, where reportedly the witness who told the story just said she couldnt believe how stupid these people were being to die for "the opiate of the masses" -- her words. (i think it was a woman who was the witness, cant remember right now)
for north american christians, "persecution" is nothing more than light harassment and removal of rights.. nothing to cry about.. yet
for some of us, it means having a brother who refuses to talk to you, and having people plot (and succeed) to assassinate your character with others you consider friends. also nothing to cry about.. at least not in light of what others have gone through and still are going through. and especially in light of what God already did for us.. nothing compares, and it makes everything worth it a million times over
does this sound like anyone you know? (below):
Mark Driscoll - How to Kindle Spirit-Fired Christian Life
for whatever stupid reason (cuz i roll that way) im working on modifying a really really old windows program to export old icq history files.. the guy had the source code up, and so ive been working on getting it compiled the last two days.. which i now have done, and it even runs! i have to (decide) how good this is actually working.. and the next step is to convert the output filters to something pidgin will accept and *POOF* all my old history files from waaaay back in '99 till whenever it was that i stopped using the windows icq will be available to me as if they had occurred on pidgin!! awesome, huh? (insane of me though, huh?) i knew keeping all those icq logs wasnt me being insane!!
ps, i went through some of those logs.. hoo-eee, did i ever have a dirty mouth.. my goodness..
ok a couple of updates, ill try to spread it out.. theres a bunch of videos i want to post too..
for new years.. it was a nice little private gathering. just lux and the natalien, the latter whom you know, is a raw vegan.. yeah, that means she "only" eats food that does not come from animals and nothing that is cooked.. well.. she does it mostly for health reasons, since when pregnant she had a maternal urge to eat meat. in any case, my lovely wife and i made cow tongue (which i always found one of the most delicious meals ever.. and havent had in years) and it was so irresistible, that the raw vegan threw out the raw and vegan parts of her diet out the window and had some.. yeah, it was worth it... she later got sick and was puking several hours later, apparently. this is probably due to the fact that she doesnt have the enzymes for it and had waaay too much of it.. haha.. anyways, then we "watched" a cheesy movie (talk about a vegan night) i say "watched" because it was mainly me watching and surround sound snoring.. not even stereo.. anyhooze i had to shake my wife awake for the countdown, we spoke for a while and then we "watched" another movie (yeah, exactly.. haha)
that was my new years. nice and relaxing
the day before we had had a ladies night here, which was great too, lots of food, pleasant convo.. (though way too much of it was about being a teacher.. haha since they pretty much all are teachers) and then we played taboo which was lots of fun.
hmm.. i thought i had something else i was going to write about all this.. not sure what it was, but heres something really awesome, this is my 5-year old godson's prayer the other day (as told to us by his mother):
[my son]'s nighttime prayer today. "Dios, gracias por esta noche maravillosa. Gracias por mi familia. Perdoname por mis pecados, perdoname por mi mama (QUE?!), por mi casa (QUE?!). Dios quiero una esposa e hijos. Amen.
which roughly translated is:
My son said. "God, thank you for this wonderful night. Thank you for my family. Forgive me of my sins, forgive me for my mama, for my home. God, I want a wife and kids.
hahah awesome prayer huh? to which i replied:
look at the example of a 5 year old's prayer:
gratitude
contrition
repentance
intercession
safety
family
multiplication
may we all pray like that! no wonder Jesus said we must be like a child to enter His kingdom!
i think that is all for now.. next post is all videos probably
